Bearded Collies - General Appearance
Bearded Collie Dogs are cute longhaired dogs. They are medium-sized with a long and lean body. The head is proportionate to the overall size of the dog. The squarish nose is large. The large Bearded Collie's eyes are set widely apart. Hanging ears are covered with long hair. The dog's teeth must be strong and white. The teeth meet in a scissors bite.
The chest is deep and strong. The feet are oval in shape. The toes are covered with hair. The Bearded Collie's coat is double with the soft and furry undercoat and the harsh and shaggy outer coat. The dog's coat falls naturally to the sides of the body. The coat color changes from black, brown, fawn or blue in puppies to light gray or cream in adult dogs.

life expectancy - 15-16 years
Bearded Collies - Temperament
Bearded Collies are friendly, stable, self-confident and extremely smart dogs. They are active and hardy. These dogs are known for their childish behavior. The Bearded Collie is curious and clownish. However, they make very good guard dogs due to their natural instincts of guarding and a high level of intelligence. Standard Bearded Collies should not show signs of aggressiveness or shyness. It goes without saying that Bearded Collie Dogs make wonderful family pets.
